 I hate  Longshanks (also a plantagenet ) the most but find it hard to decide btw Lion heart, Capet and Augustus. But I went for Capet although in term of frenchness in a modern POV, Lion heart was the most french.

Well, I am for Plantagenets, so i voted Longshanks, although Cour de Lion would have been more appropriate.

I have that feeling people vote for the Plantagenet because they are more famous in the English world.... but have they really managed better than the Capetians?

Judging by the result of the capetian wars I would give the Capetians the upper hand (I voted for Philip II BTW).

The French ones would be:

Guillaume I le Conquerant
Henri II Plantegenet
Richard I Coeur de Lion
Edouard I le Sec
Edouard III
Eudes
Hugo Capet
Philipe II Auguste
Louis IX le Saint
Philip IV le Bel
