Yes, my GG Grandfather and his brothers and cousins, often went barefoot in their chestnut uniforms!

All of them, it seems ended up as POW's, and some of them suffered more than others!

Actually since the treaty had yet to be ratified technically the war was still on. Anyway if the Brits had won they would've sacked New Orleans and probably kept it.
