In case you haven't noticed that the "welcome thread" in this announcement forum has been updated with forum rules, we've added limitations on signature sizes to [600 px wide, 250 px height] to improve reabiblity, especially for those who view this forum at 800x600 resolution.

Cyrus or I will notify you if your sig doesn't fit regulations. If it isn't de-sized after a few days, then we'll have to remove the images.

Believe me, big sigs get old really fast, and aren't cool.

               look mate, i think i know wether my sig's cool or not. and i know they'll get uncool really fast, that's why i change them once every few days...in case you people holding high positions can't notice. And as i'm the only person who uses big pics for sig, i think this measure is directed at me.

babyblue, Janus meant nothing but warmth my friend.   i actually brought up your big sig when you first came to AE because i thought it would hinder those with slow connections and Cywr and Janus said it has become his trademark.. they liked them(or atleast they didnt mind them.)  But i guess now the big sigs are out of control so the size has to be reduced.

You are definitely not the only one (Gallipoli, TheDiplomat comes to mind), and big sig pics are a pain in the ass when you have a slow connection or actually want to follow the discussion without having to scroll all day long. You're pics are indeed nice to rest the eyes on, but if I want to do that I look in a 'post your favourite women'-thread or elsewhere...

I like babyblue's sig so I think it should be kept as it is

but I think the reductiobn of size is a good idea

No the measure was not directly specifically against you. I've actually already sent pms to three other people asking for sig size reduction, and all have agreed so far.

Personally, It doesn't matter to me, because I have a very good cable connection, and run at 1280 resolution. However, there are those that don't have such browsing conditions. 20% of the viewers here run at 800x600 resolution. At that, you'll almost have to scroll 1.5 pages to get past a sig that's 768 px high.

So I have to ask you to size down your sig.

Yea babyblue no offense BTW it's just your trademark.

Also I don't think Height is too much of an issue (you can always turn off pictures for speed) but I'm definitally for limiting width I hate having to scroll over.

The mods and I have decided rules on physical size shall be enforced.

              mate, we never had one in the first place...it was just a simple mis-understanding...if you'd look back, i quoted Khakhan, not you.
