I agree, it would be nice to have our own unique alphabet, like most races have.

I did?  I'll check, I'm sure it was here though, oh well.  Where did you get this from?  I could try but it'll take a long time, you can try to e-mail a man in Turkey about this.  The link to his website is here: http://www.antalya-ws.com/futhark/FUTHP2E.HTM

At the end he has his e-mail address, he could probably do it right away for you.  If not, than I'll take a shot at it, can't promise you 100% accuracy though.

I moved it (now deleted) to the non-english forum since most of the writing is in Turkish. Erci I will leave it up to you to transcribe the chart or I will need to move this topic again.

Yes, no problem.

Unsuzler = constanants

Unluler = Vowels

Ince = soft

Kalin = thick

Someone could help me with the rest.

Bütün - All

Çift Sesliler - Double sounds

Sözcük Ayırma İmi - Seperates words

İnce - Thin

I think that's everything.

just a question. if i were to translate this would it possible to write the orhon turkish then modern turkish and then the english translation? i ask only because this is an english forum. i just though that it would enlighten people to the similarities and differences between orhon turkish and modern turkish then explain the whole thing in english.

KÜLTIGIN MONUMENT  - WESTERN FACE

ORHUN TURKISH

Tengri teg tengride bolmış Türk Bilge Kagan bu ödke olurtum. Sabımın tüketi eşidgil. Ulayu ini yigünüm oglanım birki oguşum budunum biriye Şadpıt begler yırıya tarkat buyruk begler Otuz...., Tokuz Oguz begleri, budunı bu sabımın edgüti eşid katıgı tıngla. İlgerü kün togsıkka birigerü kün ortusıngaru kurıgaru  kün batsıkınga yırıgaru tün ortusıngaru anda içreki budun kop manga körür. Bunça budun kop itdim. Ol amtı anyıg yok. Türk Kagan Ötüken yış olursar ilde bung yok. İlgerü Şantung yazıka tegi süledim, taluyka kiçig tegmedim. Birigerü Tokuz Ersinke tegi süledim, Tüpütke kiçig tegmedim. Kurıgara Yinçü ögüz keçe Temir Kapıgka tegi süledim. Yırıgaru Yır Bayırku yiringe tegi süledim. Bunça yirke tegi yorıtdım. Ötüken yışda yig idi yok ermiş. İl tutsık yir Ötüken yış ermiş. Bu Yirde olurup Tabgaç budun birle tüzültüm. Altun kümüş işgiti kutay bungsuz ança birür. Tabgaç budun sabı süçig agısı yımşak ermiş. Süçig sabın yımşak agın arıp ırak budunung ança yagutır ermiş. Yaguru kondukda kisre anyıg bilig anda öyür ermiş.

ENGLISH

Like Tengri in the sky, I, Turk Bilge Kagan rose to the throne. Hear all my words. Especially my little brother, my nephew, my son, my race, my nation and the Shadpit Begs in the south, Thirty…., Nine Oghuz Begs and Nation! Hear my words and listen to me carefully. In the east to the sun rise in the south to the mid day, all nations within are subject to me. I brought them law and order. It is a good thing. If the Turkish Kagan resides in the Otuken Forest there shall be no distress in the country. In the east I led my armies to the Shantung Plains, and the ocean was within reach. In the south I led my armies to Dokuz Ersin, Tibet was within reach. In the west I crossed the Inci River and led my armies to the Iron Gate. In the north I led my armies to Yir Bayirku. Of all these places non is better than the Otuken Forest. This is the place to reign. Here I resided and came to a mutual agreement with the Chinese. Thus gold, silver and silk is payed as tribute without resistance. The tongue of the Chinese Nation was sweet, the touch of their silk was soft. With sweet words and soft silk they brought a foreign people closer, after which they began to conspire.

the english translation above i translated at home, but i got a hold of a profesional translation of the text. i would like to share it the fellow forumers. so here it is.

I, the Heaven-like and Heaven-born Turkish Bilgä Kagan, suceeded to the throne at this time. Hear my words from the beginning to the end, first of all you, my younger Brothers and my sons, and my folks and relatives, you, Shadpït lards to the south, tarkans and buyruq lords to the north, you Otuz (Tatar?......), and you, Tokuz-Oguz lords and people! Hear these words of mine well, and listen hard! Eastwards to the sunrise, southwards to the midday, westwards as far as the sunset, and northwards to the midnight - all these people within these boundaries are subject to me. This many peoples I have organized thouroughly. These peoples are not rebellious now. if the Turkish Kagan rules from the Ötükän mountains there will be no trouble in the realm. I went to campaigns eastward up to the Shantung plain; I almost reached the ocean. I went on campaigns southwards up to the Tokuz-Ärsin; I almost reached Tibet. Westward I went on campaigns up to the Iron Gate beyond the Pearl River, and northwards I went on campaigns up to the soil of Yir Bayïrqu. I have led the armies up to all these places. A land better than the Ötükän mountains does not exist at all! The place from which the tribes can be best controlled is the Ötükän mountains. Having stayed in this place, I came to an amicable agreement with the Chinese people. They give us gold, silver and silk in abundance. The words of the Chinese people have always been sweet and the materials of the Chinese people have always been soft.Deceiving by means of their sweet words and soft materials, the Chinese are said to cause the remote peoples to come close in this manner. After such a people have settled close to them, the Chinese are said to plan their ill will there.

This translations says Ötükän mountains for instance because the inscription reads Ötükän "yïsh" which means forest or a mountain covered by forest.
