Topic: uyghur Image (1) Posted: 12-Oct-2005 at 21:09 |
Unfortunately this thread has been a vehichle for political purposes and is contrary to AE policy. Posting political pictures of Uyghurs is inappropriate for the steppes forum. Even though it is an international relations issue, this topic has brought much friction in the past. Closed!

I went on this page here: http://www.uighurlanguage.com/ and i used the translator on the right and many of the translations into Uyghur are similar to Hungarian. Of coarse they are not the same but i can see the sounds are close in the languages.
Im not surprised of coarse.

We Call It Both "Eastern Turkistan" And "Uyghuristan" But Most Of Us Prefer And Insist To Call It "Eastern Turkistan" So Our Next Generations And The People Will Not Forget About "Turkistan" The East And The West To Be United ... Alot Of Uyghurs My Brother Died For That Word "Eastern Turkistan".

well I think Uighurs are still more turkish considering the Uighur language, below is calling number 0 to 10,and you can figure out how much diffrence there among Uighur and other Turkish language.
nul-0,bir-1,ikki-2,uch-3,toet-4,besh-5,alte-6, yette-7,sekkiz-8,tokkuz-9,on-10.

4=toet? No, it's Tort, the "o" with the 2 dots over it. The "e" and "r" are right next to eachother so maybe you just made a typo.

First of all, the 4 small stars on the PRC flag stand for the worker groups: the workers, the peasants, the bourgeois, and capitalists sympathetic to the Party the biggest star stand for the Communist party. It has nothing to do with ethnicity, I don't know who started that nonsense. The stars that were cut out means that they are leaving the party in power and getting rid of all the workers.

My 'have-always-been-lovely' Oghuz Oghlu,
Hi there. Best wishes and respects. Well, I don't know if I'm calm or logical; but I believe in something; that we shouldn't be racist; we shouldn't offend other people and nations rights. I just want to mention something to all: Uyghurs have been Turks all over the history; their civilization have been described in all books; so a few words (non sense!!!) by a few racist won't change anything. Take good care and just take it easy.
Kind regards,
Iltirish

Hey, com'on all you guys, what do you think you are doing?
I totally respect to the rights of Eastern Turkistan, Uighur lands, and I respect to the freedom of Uighur brothers, but this isnt the propiate way to declare your ideas and feelings. A flag is honorable, no matter if you like the country or not. Please show you are Turks, not silly racists...
Perdon and Sultan, please be careful about your statements and words. You are being disrespectful and racist against other nations, and you will be banned for nonsense. Just calm down. I wish you to delete the racist and disrespectful posts.
Jinanren, please dont be offended by those posts. I think our Uighur brother will understand his mistake and delete his post with his own will. Dont generalize people according to one single posts of ignorance.
And gok_toruk, my Turkmen bro, hi there. I see you are the most wise and calm person on such issues. Congradulations.
Be fine and take it easy,
Oguzoglu...
