Poirot, do you know what show did you copy from CCTV about the crossbowmen? Most Chinese soap operas I saw never showed crossbowmen before, probably due to the expensive cost.

I watched a documentary on CCTV about Qin Army during the Battle of Changping.  It had a detailed descriptions and re-enactments featuring the Qin cavalry, which consisted mostly of mounted crossbowmen.  Also infantry use of the crossbow, which figured significantly in the military efficiency of the Qin war machine.

The Jin troops shown in the genghis khan miniseries had horns on their helmets. But your picture shows them without.
