Well obviously it is wrong.

A force of 200,000 soldiers for the Roman Empire around that time, would have been unimaginable. I doubt that actually any Roman faction (Kingdom, Republic, Empire, Western Empire nor the Eastern Empire) ever put up a singular force of over 150,000 soldiers - the forces situated around the borders numbered in different times from 320,000 to 500,000, although smaller during the Eastern Empire.

as Cannae had only around 70,000; Carrhae I am not sure of; Varro killed fewer men, some 30,000; I haven't got an idea of the force at Adrianople; then the reconquest of Africa and Italy had a much smaller force too; I don't know about Dyrrhachium and after the Nicaean Empire, it would be already so unrealistic that such a force could have been gathered that...]

I think Adrianople was around 20,000-30,000 men. I recenlty read a book about Belisarius, and I believe during the reconquest of Africa and Italy there were never more than 10,000. In fact, I think Belisarius only had about 5,000 men. (might be wrong, though.)

So, basically, the Roman Empire never put out a singular force of more than 100,000 men. 200,000 for 1071 would have been so unrealistic that...

NB! Although, I yet have to check about Dyrhachium
