Topic: which persias period will be ur choice to spend ur life time? Posted: 03-Jun-2005 at 10:56 |
If I've chance, I prefer to live at " The Achaemenid Empire, 550 - 330 BCE " especially " Cyrus the Great " or "Dariush the Great" time as his Soldier.
Which is your favorite???

I don't think that I can live in the ancient times, so I voted for "Pahlavi Dynasty"!

I prefer the Sassanid empire! The Sassanids were ultra-Nationalists!
Anyway, you should add some other Iranian empires such as Buyids who conquered Baghdad,Saffarids,Samanids,....

Ah yes, the Sassanids, those great humanitarians .
Id choose the Pahlavi dynasty, it seems the least extreme out of the group.

Hard choice,
Achamanid sounds interesting but high ranking officals can put you to death for any reason they chose basicly. Infact that is also possible for the Pahlavi reygime as well. Sassanids were to religous and forced there religon on non Zorastrians. This is defenetly a hard choice for me.
I would have to pick either Pahlavi or one of the (Achamanid,Parthian,or Sassanid).

Not exactly wrong but neither true. Shapur II quarreled with the Christian Roman Empire over domiance over the Christians in the Sassanian Empire. It went both ways.

From this list only I'd say Achaemenid, since Persians were most
powerful and prosperous in that period of 200 years. But I'd also
consider living in one of the Iranian dynasties that broke away from
the Abbasids, such as the Buyids.
