1st Dynasty in Egypt - capitol at Nechen, 3100 BC.
1st Dynasty in China - Xia, 2070 BC

Writing signs -
Gerzean pottery, Egypt 4000 BC
Jiahu Tortoise shells 6,600-6,200 BC

Literature
1st Dynasty - 3100 BC or texts we found -  2600 BC
I Ching was in legend written by Chinese Emperor Fu Hsi (2,953-2,838 B.C.) ; or Shang Dynasty - 1700 BC.

Most impressive architecture
Giza pyramids - 2560 BC
Chinese mound pyramids - Zhou Dynasty of 1046-256 BC?

When we go to histories, we have solid history about the Old Kingdom and 0-1 Dynasties in Egypt of 3100 BC and we have solid history about the Xia dynasty in China of 2070 BC. But before then, in both societies the leaders become more mythical or less certain. Pre-dynastic Egypt has several leaders named Hors and China has several emperors like the "Yellow Emperor" and the "Jade Emperor". But things are somewhat legendary from that time.
