Never happen as they do not care...only solution is SLCM's on a regular unannounced basis...until they get the message...and then it's doubtful.

Capture a few thousand of the morons and make them rebuild what they destroyed.
That is, I believe, what was done with the Buddhas the Taliban blew up.

The obvious remains....just so.

So the most egregious offenders need to be reminded...ISIS; and other fundo wacko Islamist extremists and terrorists, for example. And the nation states that sponsor them. Syria, a proxy of Iran, does not give a rats ass if centuries old Christian churches and their worshipers are destroyed. Which means neither does Iran or any of its proxy thugs

But that is a waste of time as they will ignore it.

Solution?

Elimination of the aforementioned.

They cant ignore SLCM's

Agreed, you can't repro Palmyra from 3d printing.

Okay this is great and all but instead of 3d printing ancient artifacts and buildings, wouldn't it be better properly preserve these buildings.

This seems like a great technology but I would rather have our government
(Plus world governments) and people protect the real thing.

Although this little 3d printed Taj Mahal would look nice in anyone's home:

They should not create giant life size replicas of these ancient treasures.

Especially with what happened to the giant buddhas in Afghanistan a few years ago
and most recently in Syria.

These sites require PROTECTION from all of us.

Appreciate 3d printing but this is by no way a way to protect history.
