Through Dec. and into Jan. it was the warmest on record here in the Northeast. Christmas Eve was in the 60's.

Monday it was 2F, actual air temp. This am it was in the teens.

Now the Weather Service is forcasting a snowstorm for Friday into Sunday.

My region is supposed to get as much as 3 ft. OY!

It was -8 here the other day. Not that cold today. Around 16. However, it appeared the city wasn't ready for the amount of snow we had. The roads were terrible....

Well, it's going to get a lot worse here. The NOAA just released Blizzard warnings for our area.

High winds and a full moon tide has the shore areas thinking about Sandy.
Going to go get a little extra "farwood" and fill the generator tank.

Keep your head down, eyes forward and nose into the wind. Get a little bourbon as well. I don't drink it anymore but it's a good fire starter in a pinch. Stay inside.

Your to foiking old to be running around the gawdamn beaches in a blizzard anyway.

I got myself a nice Milk Stout to keep me warm. Nothing like a dark, heavy beer when there's snow on the ground.

Alas I'm on the semi wagon it looks like for the duration...due to health. But I remember stout fondly...best I can get outa my doc is a very occasional, single glass of red wine.

Personally I think it's a gawdamn liberal leftist conspiracy.

Is it snowing yet Red?

No snow yet. It isn't supposed to reach here until late tonight.

For me, weather like this calls for hot dark rum sweetened with real maple syrup.
