Gosh this a tricky one ! Here are my personal favs...
1.) Rameses 2
2) Cleopatra
3.) Julius Caesar
4.) Antony
5.) Nicholas 2
6.) Rasputin
7.) Mussolini
8.) Stalin
( because I find it interesting to look into the minds of dictators and see what they were thinking)
9.) Michael Collins
10.) Paidrig Pearse
(Without people like Pearse and Collins Ireland wouldn't have got her independance. I know it prob seems small to you but to us these men are heroes)

Hmm..i find a lot of historic personalities interesting but right now i'm more interested in these....
From ancient times:
- Philip of Macedon
- Alexander the great,his son
- Alciviades
- Pausanias
From 1st c.B.C and 1st c. A.D Rome (which i find the most interesting historical period)
- Julius Caesar (of course)
- Pompey
- Marc Anthony
- Augustus
- Cicero
- Christ
- St. Paul
- All the first emperors basically (Tiberius,Caligula,Claudius,Nero etc)
From Byzantium
- The Comnenii (Alexius, John, Manuel, Andronicus).Every single one of them left their mark during their reigns and so much happened during their times( eg. the Crusades)
...and a lot of other people but i'm too bored to write them all...

I know that some people aren't going to like my choices but as far as civilisations go i love the Celts, and the Carthaginians. Ruler-wise i like the tyrants like Genghis Khan, Attila and Napoleon but in reality i like anyone who showed surprising military force (Alexander, Hannibal) Really anthing that was really a big spike in the timeline is for me like an all-encompasing drug of information

I know i just posted another message but it was pretty vague and i only refered to ancient stuff so as far as modern and some more leaders id say that i agree completely with 2 members above
barish and QueenCleopatra. you guys must have read my mind or something!
And you might add Hitler to the list. I'm not a Nazi or anything but you've got to admit he's interesting

Dr King(MLK) I have great repect for that man.(R.I.P) To persuade someone without force deserves more respect than by force Every man/woman who has shaped the world as it is today. Like guru's say. The biggest illusions is to think that everything is not connected(don't know if it is exactly like that) don't forget the unknow soldiers who died in battles for great generals or thinkers who just were before there time and were killed for thinking differently. I can't make a list because there are so many I know and even more I even haven't heard of . don't forget today is tommorows history
