I remember watching a documentary on the Voynich manuscript. Some believe that there really is nothing to decipher linguistically speaking. The language may have simply been created by someone to make the text look ancient and arcane, thus making it valuable.

Though, the funny thing remains which is that some of the drawings do seem to depict real plants. Other drawings are obviously whimsical and imaginary. It's a very strange case this Voynich manuscript!
