Semi mythical legendary Danish warrior, reputably as fierce as an any Viking who would follow. He was an inveterate foe and then became a close ally and friend of Charlegmane.
Not much on him to confirm his historical exsistence as he on one hand appears to be a created figure ala Old French chanson de geste; specifically the 'doon de Mayence'. And Grammaticus never mentions him.
Otoh there is one reference courtesy of the chroniclers of St. Martins in Cologne which reports he and the Emperpr rebuilt the monastery after it had been pillaged and burned by the Saxons.
Real or not he remains an emblematic representation of the fierceness of the Northern warriors in the 'DA'.
