The world's oldest moving picture shows have been discovered in French caves dating back 30,000 years.
Marc Azama of the University of Toulouse Le Mirail and independent French artist Florent Rivere published their discovery in the June issue of Antiquity. They report that Stone Age artists used torches to create an animation effect on cartoon-like drawings inside caves. http://www.letssmiletoday.com/news/world-s-oldest-movies-discovered-in-prehistoric-caves
I had read something about this some time ago. One of the first people to highlight this was an artist in NYC, [name forgotten] who was drawing chickens in multiples to simulate motion. He would put 6-8 chickens in a pen and then draw them as they moved. He apparently had seen some of the caves in France, and realized that the 2 and 3 headed animals with 6-8 legs were an attempt to indicate motion.
"Arguing with someone who hates you or your ideas, is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter what move you make, your opponent will walk all over the board and scramble the pieces".
