yes, Kalmyks was primarily used for Mongols in europe only, IIRC, the name Kalmyk was given by the Russians. Russians gave new names to almost all of their Steppe neighbours (Uzes = Torks, Kypachaks = Polovtzians, Mongols = Tatars...).

Uyghurs in xinjiang call all the Mongols "Kalmak"(qalmaq).
many Uyghgurs cant differenciate the mongols from chinese though they ere different.
Though many mongols dont like uyghurs, but Uyghurs like Mongols.
and my girl friend is Mongol.Cool
I think Mongols are good people,they have good character.
I have some Mongol friends.

Uyghur-aryan, you should be ashamed to call yourself an Uyghur. Nazis used this term. Now there are Persian and Indian nationalists who use it. The people who use it always turnout to be ultranationalist.  We Uyghurs are not Aryan. IF you really want to know our racial category, we are Turanid, Caucasian.  Hope you change your name here.
