Spring cleaning/reminder 2012 time

 

Great spring is in the air. Remember, especially newcomers and old returnees, the following:

Warning for spammers: Well like the flies buzzing around bovine feces that you are, you still persist...but don't worry we hack your membership up and cast you on the dung pile in which you belong.  Iow. we do not allow the criminal theft of ad space here.

 

Signature block: That is for a witty little comment about just about anything except spam. Use it for spam and it will be edited and you will be warned. Do it again and you will be gone.

 

Links in the signature block: Requires pre-approval by the owner-administrator and or his staff. Use it for spam and... see above. These links, in theory, should be of forum wide value in context and scope and of credible educational value. Blog sites and links to historically related sites are encouraged or if you have a history site of your own for review please include it. However, primary permission is still a requirement.

Inter Forum flame wars: Wars between membership of history forums and blog sites is a no-no. If you have been the recipient of ill favor or treatment by one, in your opinion, and for what ever reason, and have come here...you ntl, will not air your laundry on the AE open forum. These type flame wars can produce no useful purpose. Hence any comment you make... will be done by Private Message (PM) among yourselves or to the staff.

 

 

Problems and complaints among the membership: You will take these PM to the staff. You will not start a flame war among membership by commenting in AE open forum. If you have a complaint about a specific staff member, you will take it to either the owner-administrator or another staff member for resolution. If you fail to do this you will be warned. Do it again and you will suffer possible suspension  and or ban for trolling.

 

Bigotry, racism, offensive or rude and insultive or threatening commentary: You would think this was self-explanatory....but it's not. Exhibit any of the above in either open forum or PM and your days are numbered. Period. No questions and no exceptions. You offer a threat here to anyone; you will be banned and all pertinent information will be forwarded to the appropriate Law and Enforcement authorities. To include the FBI cyber crimes division.

 

Well that about does it...spring is in the air...enjoy it... and your forum. And do everything possible to keep it a safe and enjoyable place; where the love of history can be exchanged and communicated in a civil and friendly manner.
