Meet me where the river kiss the sea In the hour when the sun hugs the waves Meet me for the last time, my black bird My beautiful black bird that carry my freedom away Meet me so I can kiss your wings good bye And hold your heart in my palms for the last time My black bird with feet swarthy from dancing on live coals With salt-encrusted skin and belly button full with hot sand My blackbird with grass blades stamped on your back Fly blackbird, my soul fly behind the horizon The horizon that encloses the domesticated people With homes and cars and loans and sweated T-shirts Fly away blackbird, my soul, carry my kiss away DQ

The Confession of One Swimmer
The River is so accepting - A Lover who never says "No" She'll take you in her embraces For an Eternal Go. She'll slide her gentle fingers Along your knotty spine And cool your sizzling surface In her generous balm. She'll turn you, and swirl you and suck you Into her centerless flow Until you lose your bearings And she would never let go. The River is ever so honest She'll never feel remorse Neither that she accepted you Nor that you had to go. She'll never complain that she gave you What's up to her nature to give And will be caressing your toes Whenever you have to leave. The river is so dead serious To love her is not a game But she is so unpretentious That puts us all to shame. let me embrace the River As old Lover would Let me make love to the River One time beyond what I should. Pledge
I pledge to kiss and kiss ans kiss, Until my lips are torn, Until my face rots and turns In a mask of skeleton.
I pledge to touch and touch and touch, Until my hands are gone Until my fingers drop as bones, On the time-eaten floor.
I pledge to take and give and thrust, Until my body dies, And then the bones will go clanking In lively Totentanz.
And I don't care left or right, I'm pledging to the Run And if I stop, I pledge to bite The barrel of my Gun. DQ

Thank you, Dragon!
My Most Irreverent
I rebel against the rot And the death of dreams Up to the end of cosmic time And all eternities.
And I will be angry still When all this is gone And I'm rotting in my grave Under a speechless Stone.
And I will never wax acceptant Of Life's relentless toll Even when my Life is Goner And the Riper rolls.
Even when it all is over - Flesh and bone and dust Anger will be haunting over The place I used to rust.
And to all that is against me And against all odds I will be laughing mutely In my Rebel song.
After all the bad and worse Taken all in stride All the Universe can kiss My long-decayed backside. DQ

Falling
Falling with an awesome power Like a Body from the Tower Like a Convict from a Gallows And a Plane without Powers
Like a Rock into a Chasm Like a Muscle into Spasm Like a Drunk into Blackout Politician into Clout
Like Hail, Thunder, like a Peach From a branch no one could Reach Falling like Waterfall Like Lucifer in his Fall
Like a Coffin in a Grave Like a Sword onto the Brave Like a Curtain on a Stage Like an Insult in a Rage
Like a ghost's Curse in a Tomb Like a Doomed into his Doom Like I'm Falling in on you I'm so Falling hard for you. DQ

Evening
I enter the shade of Evening Her shawl of welcoming breeze Her hands are taking me in Her time is now to begin.
And I see how there stand out The figures of all fading past And all the possible tomorrows Staring at me at last.
The Evening is so heavy Like a woman in trance With all vibrating futures With all half-buried pasts,
She is the worse of all pregnancies In which the pasts still thrives, In which the future is shapeless... ...Evening so long lasts
She is dangerous like Gunpowder, And merciless like a Stone... If I survive Evening I should be fit for Dawn. DQ

Time
Time can mean the tightest Closeness When the hours turn When the curtains are fallen down When acting is done
When only naked souls touch When the masks are burned When inside out one is turned Outside in is sucked
In some timeless whirlwind In some waterfall When the fears are deleted And the past is gone.
Time can mean the widest Chasm Between the Runs When the time so slows down Than the minutes burn
When the hours turn in days Seconds in weeks When one feels that there is Eternity one miss
When the masks are all in place - And the act goes on Show must go - and so have one Tears himself apart
With the sharpest, longest, hardest Hardest Teeth of all - The Imprisonment of one's Most in-secret soul.
Time ..... a Monster and a God, Jailer, Angel, Saint, Torquemada-worse-of-all Heavy is your chain. DQ

Homeless Home
From colored shells and broken glass From pages of an old atlas From round pebbles and water spree Make Place for me.
From the seconds corner-sliced From the mute time of the night From the distance between two and three Make Time for me.
From the dimple of your chin From the thin space between Where palms and fingers meet Make Space for me.
From the softness of your skin The silky fiber therein From the curved line of your back Build me a Shack.
From the calling of night owls From the ringing of wild flowers Call me a Call to which I run Ere I come. DQ

Fires
Fires burning in my Dreams - Fires unremembered Screaming behind closed eyelids Lightnings in September
So close and so far away Mirage amidst Dunes So well-known and so new Like forgotten Tune,
Iron-heavy, like a Gun Dangerous like Crime And desired like a Trip In unknown Realm
And so fleeting - flock of Birds Melting in my mind... I remember only Words - Falling to the ground. DQ

Hands II
If I could use my hands to fly As birds their wings I would let myself go high Above yonder hills
I would let air kiss my skin And light guide me in Up above the clouds high Above all that there is
Cars and people, banks and stores High above these all Chains that pull me with no mercy To enforce control
I would fill my lips with Clouds Kiss the Moon and Sky I would slide and glide around And never say "good bye".
If I could use my hands to fly As birds their wings I would have you in the Sky With my burning lips. DQ

When a Seashell Talks On a shore I picked a Shell and put it to my ear And listened long, long time to it till Time disappeared Listened to the pulse it has old as is the Ocean Listened to the rhythm of it deeply unforgotten Listened like my Life alone depended on that Rhythm Listened with all my Being like I had never listened So I can hear with my Being and my thumping Blood My being screaming for beginning long misunderstood Something I gave up because it's a hurt to want Something I was very sure I lost long ago. But the Shell with me was honest as Nature always is And it gave me all the answers I would even seek. I kept the Shell with me in me like an antidote To the poisons with which Society is wrought And at one time or another I place it to my Me So I hear Me inside - the way Me wants to Be. ... And somewhere in the Thump with Whispers full I can hear your Voice in Me calling me to come. DQ

What I Can When I Can't
If I can't have your eyes on me I'll take them to the Stars And the Stars can take my soul With their beady eyes.
If I can't have your hands on me I'll take me to the Wind And the Wind can hug me close In it's impatient stream.
If I can't have your lips on mine I'll take them to the Sun And the Sun can kiss me over Till my lips are burned.
If I can't have your voice to me I'll go searching for the Storm Till the Storm is calling me For a full recall.
If I can't have you in my sight I'll have you in my thought My thoughts will envelop you Like my hands cannot. DQ

Counting by Thousands
Run me a thousand miles in a hour Beat me a thousand beats Rush me a thousand minutes in hour Spin me a thousand spins Take me a thousand takes in an hour Give me a thousand gives Turn me a thousand turns in a hour Bring me a thousand brings Hit me a thousand hits in an hour Lift me a thousand lifts Shatter my mind in a thousand pieces Break me in thousand bits. Search
It seems like I'd looking for you from before Before the time of times In glimpses, flashes, letters, books' In musical phrases and rhymes
In trembling, in fear half misunderstood In waves, in stars and rocks It seems like for years I've looking for you But gnawingly knowing it not,
In colors and symbols, in dance and in trance, In falling and climbing, in rambling, In betting, in losing, in taking a chance, In logic, in paintings, in gambling,
In days and weeks, Septembers and Mays In whirlwinds, in seas and oceans, Behind closed eyes and unhearing years In rhythms, in ruins, in potions
It feels like I've been on a long search for you Without suspecting it so Waiting for Time to wither and drop And leave me alone with you. DQ

Rain
Raindrops, raindrop, falling, flopping On the ground so soaked through the skin Raindrops they don't know how to stop And the ground swallows them in.
Like tears, like tears of some cosmic Man And of the pain of all human souls Resigned and rebellious, mute from despair Incessantly down rain falls.
And you would think that the ground would choke - Such ultraterrestrial anguish is pouring - But alas - waves of human pain rains - And Nature ignores it...

Locked Within
On a hypocritic loom You are weaving lies with thread... Are you making shroud for me Or a blanket for yourself?
Don't weave my hands in it - I will bite them off Don't weave my hair in it - I will pull it off
Don't encase my shadow in Whatever cell you're building - I'll rend my shadow from me And the walls will be breaking.
Don't kick my locked within door And threaten me with racking... Go on, break me for the breaking - You can't take me by the taking. DQ

To Have and Not To Have
Happiness - of light and glass union - I caress it with my knees Like for a bitter Communion I reach with my fingers for it.
But with no answer was left I - My right hand got lost in the dark And only the deafening Silence Gnawed on my brain with no spark.
"To have, to have not, to wait" Like Orphans in my consciousness cried Words that someone had mumbled Like an improper Remark. DQ

Run!
Run against Time against Space Run against Thunder and Rain Run against Pain Run against Wind against Sun Against all of it, Run!
Run against it when it's falling on you Run against it when it is swallowing you Run against it when you know it's not going away Run against it when you know it is here to stay.
Run to the ground, in dust and it torrent and years Run when you know it's in vain and it won't disappear Run against it in abandon in ashes and smoke Run until all is in Ramble and you in Amok. Run! DQ
