Deathmatch 4v4. how cool. I somehow lost all of my copies: AOE, AOE Rise of Rome, AOK, and AOK Expansion.

You got to do the same thing again, only as the Romans.
New campains, new units, new scenarios etc. Not fantastic mind you, but if you liked AoE enough, it was a wlecome addition.

Yes, a fire galley, and a new type of armoured elephant, a camel warrior, a slingman, and some type of chariot i think.
Rome, Macedonia, Carthage and someone else were added as new Civs.
New buildings, new techs, bigger maps and a few tweaks to gameplay to make things better.

Yeah but considering the fact that a swordsmen is larger than a barracks, it was really a primitive game...anyways I loved it and here is something funny;
1997-1998 New Years Eve: I got Age of Empires 1 as a present
1998-1999 New Years Eve: I got Age of Empires, Rise of Rome as a present
1999-2000 New Years Eve: I got Age of Kings as a present
2001-2002 New Years Eve: I got Age of Conquerers as a present
2002-2003 New Years Eve; I got Age of Mythology as a present
2003-2004 New Years Eve; I got AOM Expansion as a present

well, the first (art of war) adds 18c ships, as well as 2 new nations and three new jedi knight units, as well as cavalry formatiosn etc, really worth getting it...the second (back to war) adds two nations as well and soem special untis for them, but that's all IIRC..but it's stand-alone (including the stuff from the original and first add-on)
