Zeytinburnu (Seytin Burun) means "Cape Olive". It is located between the Wall of Constantinople and River near Chirpiji (look at the map).

Sorry for the bad photo. These walls divide Zeytinburnu and Fatih distirict and this is one of the gate in the walls. The guy with yellow boots has very interesting job. he is the doorman of Constantinople Big smile. he decides which side past the gate and how many minutes

Some years ago I took a 7 days tour of Istanbul, I thought it should be too long for just one city, but after the trip my opinion was changed, you can stay for more than one month in this city and everyday find something new.

last week was minus 2 and snow but today was really sunny and  10-12 degree and next weekend will be snowy too.

Hagia Sophia in Zeytinburnu

I choose this name for showing its important. This is the one of alive and the most important greek church in İstanbul. Its name is Balıklı

there is a spring in there and I have read that, it was also shire of asklepios before christianity
