From Jassic people in Hungary to Sarikoli people in China and Shirazi people in the southeast Africa, there are several peoples who consider themselves Iranian, of course there are just three Persian-speaking countries (Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan) but there can be some other Iranian speaking countries, such as Kurdistan, Ossetia and Baluchistan.

From the viewpoint of some Iranian ideologists like Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esfandiar_Rahim_Mashaei who are strongly supported by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Islamic ideology doesn't work any more and Iranian leaders should focus on Iranian ideology, the possibility of an Iranian union has been also mentioned by them.

A. What's the difference if the fundo Islamists maintain a position of superiority.

B. Are the masses still willing enough to dump the theocratists.

C. What then is the relationship with the west... if the state... with or without the theo madmen still calls for the destruction of the state of Israel.

Questions always questions.

You should read that wiki article about Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esfandiar_Rahim_Mashaei -> Mashaei also made public statements which some considered pro-Israel, when he said that Iranians are “friends of all people in the world—even Israelis”.

It is not really possible to be both Iranian nationalist and Islamist, Ayatollah Khomeini and his followers believe that Islam has no borders and geography has no role in Islamic nationality, but Iranian nationalists believe that religion and nationality are two different things and an Iranian can have any religion.

Yup i read it.

''top adviser, and close confident[1] of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.[''

CC. wiki.

Not a real terrific recommendation considering his boss calls for eradication of the Jewish state and continues to promote and support terrorism within the region. Consequently at this point Iranian nationalism, as is defined, is  nothing more then a front for the continued aforementioned agenda.  So question C. above... remains to be answered or already has been....in no change. The fundo's and theocrats merely make it more palatable perhaps for many there... but in the end the west facing an anti-semitic (jewish) Iranian hegemony, hidden or not within the term nationalism, remains a threat. Period.

You should know that in the current regme of Iran "President" has absolutely no role, the first president was Banisadr: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abulhassan_Banisadr who already lives in Versailles, near Paris, in a villa closely guarded by French police, the regime has put a bounty on his head.

Of course he had a good chance becuase he could flee the country, three other ones
(Mousavi, Rafsanjani and Khatami) who came to power for 24 years, each one for 8 years, are already considered as the enemies of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, a large number of their families have been either imprisoned or killed by the regime, the last one was the daughter of Rafsanjani.

Iranians already know that what Mashaei says is what Ahmadinejad believes and what Ahmadinejad says is what Khamenei believes, but Ahmadinejad is much more brave than previous Iranian presidents, it is good to read it (especially about Moslehi):

This time, though, the Supreme Leader decided to fight for his man. In a private letter to the president, he reinstated the sacked minister to his former position. But Ahmadinejad continued to exclude Moslehi from cabinet meetings. Finally, in a publicized letter to the minister, Khamenei urged him to stay at his post no matter the pressure from Ahmadinejad.
Furious, Ahmadinejad sequestered himself at his residence for eleven days, all the while refusing to attend government functions and openly defying Khamenei’s orders. To appreciate the import of Ahmadinejad’s actions, one must realize that for millions of followers in Iran and elsewhere, Khamenei is not an ordinary mortal or an ordinary politician: he is a man endowed with mystical powers. At least that’s the image presented to world by Khamenei loyalists. It is therefore unthinkable for a radical Shiite fundamentalist to disregard the Supreme Leader in such a brusque manner.
In the wake of this standoff, twenty-six top individuals around Ahmadinejad were arrested. The arrests stopped only after Ahmadinejad declared, in a statement on June 29, “There is a red line drawn around my cabinet…. If they continue with [the arrests]…I am duty bound to speak to the people.” This statement was widely seen as an attempt to present himself as anti-clerical to the average voter, while ensuring that any physical harm done to him would be placed at the Supreme Leader’s door.

Impossible for me such as Turkey and Central Asia Union

Turkmens, Azeris in Azerbajan and Kurds(in Iraq and Turkey) don't want to involve this project. This is my idea Wink. However Pakistan, Afghanistan Tajikistan and Iran Union has more possibility. Maybe, if Iraq divides, we can add shia part of it too. These countries have similar perspective.

On the other hand, I don't support ideas like this, we don't need any polar like in cold war. It provides wealth and peace just inside but in the globally, it increase chance of wars between different polars/unions. People should get it. We are in the same boot whose name is Earth Big smile

However this can be like states in USA. All world is one country but this great iran could be a state of it.

It is interesting to know that Mashaei is already one of the main candidates for the Iranian presidential election in the next month.

*Which one will able to gain the election? Do you have any idea?

*Mashaei, could you a little bit mention about him? He is one the hand of Ahmadinejad, isn't he? what else?

*There is a conflict between Ahmedinejad and Mullahs and is this a begining of end of islamic revolution? Do you think this scenario is possible?

It is still soon to talk about election, Masahei has just registered for candidacy but he should be approved by the Guardian Council.

You can read about Mashaei here: http://mrzine.monthlyreview.org/2009/iran130809.html

His famous remarks:

"The age of Islamism is over. It's not that Islamism doesn't exist or isn't growing. Islam exists but its time is up. The age of horseback riding is over now, though horses exist, and so do riders. . . . Of course, it isn't completely finished, but it's getting there."

"Iran today is a friend of the American and Israeli peoples. No nation in the world is an enemy of Iran, though, of course, we have enemies, in fact, faced with the most dastardly enemies in the world."

If Mashaei isn't already in the pocket of Islamists, he would have been purged for his provocative anti-Islam statements.

I give an Iranian Union about as much chance as A unified and recognized Kurdish state. About as much chance as an Austrian union with modern Germany.
