I think it is the Oldest Carriageway Bridge:

Dezful is a large city in the Khuzeistan province in Iran, this city is called Dezful (arabicized form of "Dezh Pul" = Citadel Bridge) because of a huge Sassanid bridge which has been built by Shapur the great near this city.

It seems part of the bridge has been destroyed by the river and then repaired, anyway the interesting thing is that this bridge is still used and several cars are crossing it each day.

Shouldn't it be the Ziggurat of Ur (oldest pyramid)?

No, since that's a recontruction.

Anyway, there are Roman bridges still in use (and incidently, Shapur the Great used the engineering skills of Roman prisoners of war during the great constructions during his era).

Do you mean the oldest Ziggurat?  then the oldest one is the Sialk Ziggurat in Kashan, Iran which is about two times older than the original Ziggurat of Ur.

Yes, I also heard about that. It is in central anatolia, I think close to Konya. I have visited there once with my family, we lived in Konya.

(Ah, many thanks Styrbiorn)

The roman bridge of Alcntara, Extremadura (Spain); finished at 104 AC and in use by cars now:

Really a bridge with a great history.

But i think that there are many more roman bridges like this.

Oldest standing building still in regular use:Pantheon, Rome, or is that just in Europe?
What a handsome figure of a dragon. No wonder I fall madly in love with the Alani Dragon now, the avatar, it's a gorgeous dragon picture.

The University of Salamanca was founded in 1134 and given the royal charter of foundation by King Alfonso IX of Leon in 1218.
The formal title of "University" was granted by King Alfonso X of Castile and Leon in 1254 and recognized by Pope Alexander IV in 1255.
