As a lawman, you can use any revolver made between 1840 and 1900. Automatics like the broomhandle Mauser are a possibility, but they lack stopping power and are difficult to control

For ease of concealment and a faster draw, you could pay the local blacksmith to shorten the barrel of your Dragoon or Navy. Guns of this type are known as "avenging angels" and are similar in apparance to modern-day snubnose revolvers favored by detectives

Howdy Doc! The Remington New Army was another great weapon for fast reloads as the cylinder can be removed and changed without dismantling the gun
