I was surfing around and ran into this.  There was a thread someone started about giants, this might fit in, somehowWink

The Horned Skull of Sayre, Pennsylvania

Discovered: 1880s

Sayre is a borough in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, 59 miles northwest of Scranton. The exact year is not clear, but during the 1880s a large burial mound was discovered in Sayre. It was reported that a group of Americans uncovered several strange human skulls and bones. The skeletons belonged to anatomically normal men with the exception of bony projections located about two inches above the eyebrows. It appeared that the skulls had horns. The bones were characterized as giant, as they were representative of people over seven feet tall. Scientists estimated that the bodies had been buried around A.D. 1200. The archeological discovery was made by a reputable group of antiquarians, including Dr. G.P. Donehoo, the Pennsylvania state dignitary of the Presbyterian Church; A.B. Skinner, of the American Investigating Museum; and W.K.Morehead, of Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts.

It was not the first time that gigantic horned skulls have been unearthed in North America. During the 19th century, similar skulls were discovered near Wellsville, New York and in a mining village close to El Paso, Texas. At one time in history, human horns were used as signs of kingship. Alexander the Great was depicted with horns on some of his coins. In Moses’ time, horns were a symbol of authority and power. Many gods, including Yahweh, have been depicted with horns. According to historical accounts, the Sayre bones were allegedly sent to the American Investigating Museum in Philadelphia. However, the artifacts were stolen and never seen again. Apparent pictures of the skulls do exist, but many people claim the discovery to be a hoax. Many websites suggest that the objects are of extraterrestrial origin.

That's weird. It sounds like a hoax comprising cleverly-painted plaster or clay

Someone thought they were real enough to steal.

Nick, unexplainable skulls and bones have been found virtually world wide.  Remember the line from Genesis "In those days there were Giants on the Earth".
Not all of the artifacts have been hidden or destroyed, they just don't know what to make of them.  In south America Human skulls have been found that are as large as 22-24 inches, the average human's is 8".  Interestingly they all had flaming red hair.  Not fitting into the accepted line of thinking does not make it a hoax, just an uncomfortable reality.

This skull is on display at the British Museum in London.

This is a real skull, they just don't know what to do with it.  They can't however, deny it's existence.

At one time horns were a symbol of "Kingship" or royalty.  Alexander was portrayed as having horns on several coin issues.

Indeed odd...but I will not gainsay the reality of it. Anyone who has studied the way of the shape changer with the Din'e is apt to be broadminded.

Discussing stuff like this is tricky.  You don't want to come off like some kind of nut, but some things can't be ignored forever.  There are anomolous skulls and skeletons listed as being found from all over this little rock.  Once the obvious hoaxes are weeded out, we are left with a bunch of strange, but real objects.  And as a couple of them are complete skeletons of a person who stood as tall as 10 feet, ya can't blame someone for not wanting to deal with it.

In the efforts to debunk or to declare hoax.. science serves it's ego.. more then science in many cases.
There should obviously be testing mechanisms to shed light on this and other phenom...why they often don't do that is another story.

And it's usually relate to grants and funding of "standard" research topics or disciplines and fear of ridicule within their peer group. Or mainstreamers whose vanity at demonstration of a rigidity in thought precludes all else.

This remains a diservice to science as all things are theory until the method proves other...and while I support the method.... I do not support the method maniacs as a matter of consequence... when it narrows or rejects the objectivity to discuss alternative theorem.

And cases like the above are the ones who then suffer from an objective analysis.

It's not just Science or scientists.  If it was ,it would eventually come around and someone would start a study.  But in several instances, esp. in S. America, it's the Catholic Church.  I've read 3-4 reports where the locals found an anomolous skeleton, took it to the church and were told to bury or destroy it.  As it was "likely the work of the Devil".Confused
