It was obviously right that Mousavi said to Ahmadinejad that his government always goes to extremes, the president says Israel should be wiped off the face of the world, but the vice president says Israelis are our firends! Now this man is appointed as the first Vice-President!!

That's not particularly surprising given the agendas hidden and expressed of either. Tit for tat in a sense extremist vs. moderatists, recognition and lifting of sanctions vs. nuclear weapons development....vs. national reconstruction based on US tax dollars. Throw it all together with antisemitism covert or overt, dissatisfaction with a continuing allied presence, antipathy towards state sponsored terrorism, nuclear prolioferation and you got the situation we see.
