Please pardon my ignorance, but how can you play with factions other than Romans in Rome Total War?

I just downloaded the descr_strat file on to by desktop and didnt have to unzip it.

So it is compressed, do you have winrar or winzip?

No your not slow, you just have not done this much.
Drag it in there or just right click on it, click 'cut, than paste it into the folder. Have you found the Imperial folder?

When you conquer a non-Roman faction, that faction is unlocked, so you can play it. But this prosses takes a while.(So be patient my friend)
