I didn't know what section to post this so moderators can move it to where it should be.

The topic is "Kipchaks in Georgia".

40,000 Kipchak families under the rulership of Otrak during the 11-12th century were invited to Georgia under the agreement that each family would contribute a fully armed soldier to the Georgian army.

Over time some of the Kipchaks became Christian and assimilated into Georgia, then a new wave of Kipchaks served as mercenary troops called "Qivchaqni akhalni".

There must have been a considerable Turkic presence in Georgia, what do the Georgian historical chronicals and sources write about these peoples? do any Georgians today claim Kipchak descent? Are the Meshket/Ahiska Turks partly of Kipchak descent?

Also if there are any Georgian speakers could you translate this.

The Georgian Chronicles about the Kipchak resettlement in Georgia

Bulldog I think it is a brilliant topic. We know the rising power from the last decades of 11th century to the mid 13th century. The georgians pushed the seljuk emirates from their lands and gained notable victories. The crusader victors like Ilghazi even faced defeat. Muslim sources give the credit to the shamanist kıpchaks.
