....to the ultra-nationalists....
- a media "hostage" of political Slavmacedonian propagandists
- a media with editors that ignored its history and past
- a media that is "collaborated" with Slavmacedonists like Boroski

What I don't understand is why they don't apologise to us for naming them "Macedonians"

What should they call them? Irish? Zulu?
Although the Current Events page allows for the fmr blackist topics to be added, this dose not seem to be a current event.

Almost everything you say is offensive to someone.
In this vein, "India" means "Land of River Indus". The Indus is in Pakistan, indeed it is the life blood of Pakistan, but it gives its name to our friendly nation across the border. In fact their name is'nt even officially India, its Bharat. So should Pakistanis be insulted?

Exactly. That's why stations shouldn't apologise.

What a nice touch of arrogance.
How percesily did you name them that? Considering that most of Greece has a Slavic admixture since the 6-7th cts. how do we determine which side the northern or southern gains this "slavomacedonian" term?
i am pettitioning formally that Georgia change its English version name as it offends my eyes, the only Georgia should be a state within the good 'ole US of A.

It's not arrogance. It's sarcasm. Second, how exactly do you propose we call Greek Macedonians then, living in Macedonia? As for the Georgia comment, yeah it's really relevant to the dispute.

Since you have participated in other threads you know it's not only about a name. And besides, it's easy to find a dispute laughable when you don't have the slightest connection with it, do you know how ridiculous for example is the Pakistan-India conflict sounds to a Greek or Skopjan (if he has ever bothered with it)?? From my point of view you people fight over mountains that worth nothing. From your point, we fight for a stupid name. It's all about where you stand.

Do you know how offensive they feel about being called Skopjan instead of Macedonian?
Blocking a nation out of Nato is silly not sarcasm.
call all kinds Macedonian. That solves the issue. A Macedonian citizenship should be stressed. Then suddenly you have an inclusive term versus an exclusive.
And, it saves you time on deciding who it is exclusive to.

A Greek born in Greek Makedonia is still Greek by citizenship and on his passport so I don't see why there's a name conflict at all.
Iranians are giving Azerbaijan crap for similar reasons.

How do you know that most of the Greece has Slavic mixture ?

If you consider Byzantine and Ottoman empire as multi-cultural and national empires, you may accept many people had moved across today borders and had mixed with other nationalities.

As long as Azerbaijanis (Former Soviet Union Azerbaijan) want to call themselves Azerbaijani we have no problem, but when they start to manipulate history with laughable claims then they need some guidance.

To compare the random Slavic tribes that settled in Greece with the complete Slavification of FYROM is not racistic but clearly short-sighted. Nobody here claimed Greeks are pure descendants of Perikles or Alexander. But they are the closest available.

Why is it racist to be called Slavic? Is there something wrong with Slavs?
