Hi,
I'm a history student at the University of Wales Cardiff, and I've been trying to find a list of Roman Catholic churches in London consecrated during the 19th century (pre-1870s). Due to the Catholic Emancipation Act of 1829, I've found that many churches built either pre- or post- Emancipation were not consecrated by the Church until the 20th century (for example, Our Lady of the Assumption & St Gregory was built in the late 18th century, but was not concecrated until 1928). Surely the dates of Concecration have been recorded. I've found some information in books and online, but not much. I've even contacted the Diocese of Westminster and checked their websites, but were of not much help. Is there at least a short list that could be found anywhere?
I appreciate any help and any information available! Thank you.
