Topic: Irish created all of civilization Posted: 17-Nov-2007 at 14:27 |
Check this site out. It appears that the Irish in the distant past went all over the world getting on lands as far as Japan.

I just meant that as a joke. I however do believe that you should only believe something if you are absolutely 100% sure about it, and when you are not acknowledge that, at least to yourself. I advise people to try this approach, it really works.

I'd say Ireland accounts for about as much civilisation as any other comparable country, no more..

Dude, the Irish accounted for everything. The ancient Greeks actually migrated from Ireland in the late paleolithic period, following the Stout migratory patterns of the time. There in Greece, they cultivated Peat (the staple of their diet), and founded agriculture in the region. The Sumerians, a nomadic people of the time, saw this wonderful idea and were jealous, and decided to cultivate the fertile crescent. And then took all the credit for founding agriculture (with all of the distasteful sneakiness of the Foreigns); but the Irish/ Greeks were a humble and noble people, and did not protest, like the true gentlemen that they were. At this point, notably, Irish Seamen (who have been inaccurately recorded as 'Phoenecian' by history) crossed the Atlantic (founding Atlantis on Manhattan Island in the process), and brought the potato back to the Grecian hillsides. With the invention of the sausage in 75,000 BCE, the natural combination of 'Bangers and Mash (Gaelic for "Sausages and Potatoes")' was invented, thereby making it the world's oldest national dish. Shortly after this, due to a much increased Irish population in Greece due to the sustaining influence of the hearty diet of Bangers, Mash, and Stout (by this point domesticated and brewed), groups of the Irish migrated seeking more lands. One group landed in Egypt, where they built the pyramids out of peat, and then covered them with Gold. The peat has since solidified into the rock-like material one observes today. The gold has all been stripped by gypsies, and the bloody-giggolo Italians. Another group of these Egyptian-Irish migrated further into the deserts after the invention of "God" by a particularly wily and Capitalistic Celt by the name of 'Moses' who started a cult that was at variance with the traditional Irish trinity, whose worship included animistic worship of Stout, the recently born deity "Poitin," and Mashers. Moses led his followers into the desert, where they wandered, stone-sober, for many years. There was much lament.
Elsewhiles, the Doric invasions of the 800's BCE caused a nmber of the Grecian-Irish to flee to Italy, where Rome was literally 'built in a day,' entirely out of Peat and Bangers (the wildly imitated 'Latin columns'), and built by wolves. As is well known, Rome went on to conquer the entire world, as well as the moon, and influenced every single society ever since. The popular misconception is these "Romans" were Italians (bloody rubbish), but actually were the Irish, who, ironically, are also the British. The Irish/ Roman/ British empire has yet to show any signs of decline, and her Majesty's subjects in America, Canada, Australia, and the rest of the world, proudly celebrate their Irish-Britishness everyday. The Sun never Sets on the Irish empire. And the foreigns better bloody well thank us Irish for all the we have done for the world, as well as civilization. Excelsior! BC

No people created all of civilisation, so that's a moot point. You might say the Irish have overextended themselves throughout history though, with respect to their relative obscurity, and they have plenty of accomplishments to be proud of, so there's no need to make up fake ones.

Irish have been very important people in Latin America as well. Examples:
Ambrosio O'higgins, governor of Chile and Viceroy of Peru:
His Chilean son Bernardo, heroe of Chilean independence:
Benjamin Vicua McKenna, one of our main writers, a Chilean of Irish descend
Willian Lamport, self-proclaimed King of New Spain (Mexico)
Irish settlements
San Patricio Batallion that fought at Mexican side during the Mexican-American war.
Irish community in Argentina
Irish in Brazil
