ho ho, I did make this map jsut of Turkey that just said KURDISTAN all over it but I deemed people would yell at me to much If I posted it

Here's Europe the way it became after I'd played with the Ottoman Empire in Europa Universalis II! It was a hell lot of fun annexing The Habsburgs (Austria-Hungary), Poland, The Papal States and the whole of Italy (Venice and Genoa included) or, of course, the czarist Russia.

So, there's Europe with an oriental touch! Long live the sultan!

'-bourg' is the French spelling of many places that would be '-burg' in German - Cherbourg, Strasbourg....

That it has no meaning in modern French is irrelevant. Lancaster is the correct spelling, not Lancastle, even though there is no word 'caster' with that meaning in modern English.

Since the country has two official languages either 'Luxembourg' or 'Luxemburg' is officially correct, but the actual Luxembourgish name is 'Letzebuerg' (with two dots over the first 'e'. As in the name of the TV company RTL - Radio Tele Letzebuerg.

 

 

ok i cant figure out how to post my map, so i'll just explain it

switzerland has secretly been building a massive military machine over the many centuries of neutrality.  this military finally explodes out of switzerland, conquering western europe (excluding great britain) and much of eastern europe.  their aggression, however, is met by a powerful new quadruple alliance: andorra, monaco, san marino, and vatican city.  fighting a hundred years war, the quadruple alliance manages to take back some of the land - spain to andorra, southern france to monaco, and italy split down the middle between san marino and the vatican - and stops the swiss menace.   they also manage to take back the balkans, but none of them really want it...so they have a contest between all the ethniticies there...last ethnic group standing get the country (massive civil war ensues).  the U.S.S.R. is reformed...as the Union of Scandanavian Socialist Republics.  After several complicated medical procedures, Putin transforms himself into a cyborg that will rule Russia (now called Putinland) for all eternity.  sick of being excluded from the EU, turkey creates a Turkish Union, comprised of Turkey and northern Cyprus.  Ireland, Wales, and Scotland join forces to form the United Kingdom of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales (and then brutally conquer and subjugate England).  finally, due to a series of volcanic eruptions, iceland tripples its territoy in this newly created landmass.
