What's your opinion about Talos?Ancient robotics or a simple myth?

It's a myth that derives (probably) from some older event. Perhaps someone created a wooden statue that by pulling some strings could move it's hands, so there goes.
On the lighter side, I had a girlfriend who's dog was called Talos. It's a huge dog so the name becomes him!
