Hi,
i am doing some research on Greek-Bactrian, Greek-Indian and Kushan Empires. The first two were Greek kingdoms and the third was an hellenised.
Besides the strong Greek element, another link was their shift from Greek religion to Buddhism and the creation of the Greek-Buddhist art that manipulated S.E. Asia and see its influence even today .
Here an example = http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/Buddha-Vajrapani-Herakles.JPG
It is believeed that kings like Menander and Dimitrios founded many buddhist schools even in Greece, while many Greek convirted. However, there is a lack of resources. Have you read anything on this?

MOST OF info derives from coins, while i had a chat with someone who has been in Kafuristan (in kalash area) and he told that there are many monuments like Alexandria Eschate and Alexandria of the Archosians (today Kandahar) and of course Ai Khamnoum (alexandria oxus) which has been looted from the talebans..
anyone to discuss this?
