Ancient man did not just fly kites - he flew 'on' them as well. 
 
Why all the art on the high plains deserts of Peru?   Were they for the benefit of travelers in ancient aircraft perhaps?   Or possibly for something other?

High Mountain art is also found in 'high' and 'sky view' only, from South America to North America.   The above 'Kite-man' in upper right is found on an alluvial bench near the Colorado River north of Blythe, Calif .(photographer in upper left corner
 
It's not an impossibility.  Lets hear some thoughts.
