Is their a method to 'publish' footnotes in All Empires?  In my old forums (Modern War Studies), which are now deceased, footnotes found quite a bit of use (admittedly, the forums were small, new and active members were lacking, but that's besides the point! LOL ).  I think it would be a good idea, and it pushes for factual accuracy.

You could add them under the text.

I'm talking about a section for such issues on the main All Empires magazine site though.

That's true and it may be enough for the purpose of the forum, but it was worth a shot anyways. LOL But, perhaps BB footnotes would allow people to directly access the source by clicking on the '1' (or whatever number).  This method was employed in one of the articles on the main page, and I thought it was a good idea.

The main site has a [ref][/ref] system for footnotes, which I think is a great feature. It links the superscript numbers to an automatic "References and Notes" section at the bottom of the article, where the footnote is. I'm guessing this is what you are talking about Catalan?

Yes, Knights.  It's similar to Wikipedia's reference system, then.  I don't know about the forum software of All Empires, but there is a reference modification for BB code and the php might be the same (dunno, don't know php) ... so it can potentially be based on phpBB's mod.

I would request the moderators to look into the individual ''rambo4'' who I suspect is malingering and pretending to be someone that he is not.

Maybe we could get a few more topics opened up there. Feel free to create some good ones in that time Cahaya.

I notice alot of alternate history and what ifs have made it into other areas of the forum. I was wondering if it would be possible to add a more higer profile alternate history and what if discussion to AE?

For example why don't we add an Alternate history discussion section to the main menu of the forum or to the schalorly persuits section?

I noticed that too Kevin, especially in the Modern History forum. There exists a fine line between what if scenarios, for example - a different tactical decision in a battle, compared to pirates versus ninjas. The fault is our sometimes in that we don't move those kind of posts over to the Historical Amusement section as often as necessary.

I think we'll stick to our current setup, with better vigilance of course,  instead of creating a seperate forum for Alternative History.

i think we should have an election for the moderators, not that they don t deserve their position or anything, and i truly respect them, it's just that people are so big on democracy nowadays, and AE being center of intellectuals, should operate under a democratic system.

How about including Oceania into the SE Asia and Pacific name in the regional section? By doing something like this it might bring about more discussions of Australian, New Zealand and other surrounding area's history as it will provide a clearly recognised section for members to start such discussions who are unsure of where to start them.
