Since we seem to be starting from scratch lets have a thread where we name what eras and places in history we have knowledge and interest in.

I have knowledge about American history, Mongol EMpire,British Empire, Japanese history, North American native history, Ming dynasty China and East Africa.

I want to expand my knowledge in Tang SOng and Qing dynasty China, the Ottoman empire, Roman empire, and Mesoamerican civs

ALso I am working curently on learning of ancient and medieval middle east, especially Arab expansion and post Seljuk Persia.

My initial passion is for Roman history with an emphasis on the Republic.   But my interest doesn't end there, I enjoy studying the other cultures that Rome came in contact with, especially the Celtic and Ptolemaic Egypt.

Actually, I just enjoy history, preferably the ancient through the early renaissance.

I'm very interested in the Napoleonic Wars, Rome(more specifically, during the Republic, and the reigns of Septimius Severus, Vespasian, and Marcus Aurelius), and Classical Greece(especially the nation of Sparta).

I would like to learn more on ancient Chinese tactics, to be able to make comaprisons between their armies, and the western armies.

My historical expertise is the european renaissance, some medieval period. The period of early colonization of america (the vikings as well). I am also well versed in the portuguese, german and french colonization of the industrial age. As well as knowing a lot about USA's history and the history of the Christian churches.

Hello!

I like most history, but prefer ancient one. Rome is the favourite topic. But I`m even interested in European medieval, Byzantine, Viking, Swedish, WWII and WWI history. However, for some reason, chines history doesn`t seem to interst me at all...

Hi, I am new here but some people may know me from HG History forums which I frequent.

I am most versed in modern history 1870-present (especially first half of 20th C). However, I also have a adequate/good grasp of general world history, in particular Russia and Europe, and to a lesser extent China and east Asia, and the Middle East.
