Topic: Switzerland invades Liechtenstein!!! Posted: 03-Mar-2007 at 20:01 |
Reversing its centuries long position of neutrality, Switzerland accidentally attempted to annex Liechtenstein! 170 uniformed Swiss soldiers stormed across the border, carrying assault rifles ( sans ammunition). Local civilians sat paralyzed with terror--or was that indifference. An interior ministry spokesman was quoted as saying, "It's...like they stormed over here with attack helicopters or something."*
So is it safe to assume that Swiss Army brand compasses won't be selling very well for a while?
Here is the article.
*The full quote reads: "It's not like they stormed over here with attack helicopters or something."

lol I read this on the news yesterday. Seemed like a joke when the headline came up, but it's still funny like one.

I told you, I told you, in the "Most disciplined armed forces" topic!
France and Germany are next!
Seriously, the fact that it was an accident and they got lost kinda proves me wrong...

Wanderer, kommst Du nach Lichtenstein,
tritt nicht vorbei,
tritt mittenrein.
Temujin will translate, hmm, hope so...

The warmongering Swiss show their true face once more. How long will
the international community tolerate this? Today Liechtenstein,
tomorrow Europe, and then the world. We must do something now before
it's too late!

Yikes. Has to be a bit of an embarassment to say the least.

"Officials in Liechtenstein also played down the incident."
Seems to me like every person living in Liechtenstein is a state official...

Wanderer, if you come to Lichtenstein,
don't miss it,
but step right in it.
??? Or did I misinterpret it?

Swiss don't need an army, they've a lot of money to hire the whole NATO(LOL)... Lichtenstein is so small that it is unlikely to be mentioned in military maps- well thats a not good excuse for the "Swiss Company" warlords(LOL)

I support the Swiss in their movement to expand their territorial interests. Neutrality must be so boring...
