Looks wise I'm kind of glad it won over Boeing's X-32. About 5 or so years ago they were showing the US militaires trials on picking either this craft or Boeing's. I remember Boeing went through a few problems, which is why the US Brass chose this one.

Here is a major one that Greece hasn't got, unlike most other systems.
This very worthy of more attention and a very big powerful thing.
AGM-142 Raptor Popeye I Have Nap Popeye II Have Lite
"Turkey initially bought 50 Popeye I missiles for its fleet of F-4s being upgraded at Israel Aircraft Industries. At least 40 Popeye I missiles were delivered to Turkey in 1997 with a second batch of 60 shipped in 1998. In May 1997 Israel and Turkey agreed to jointly produce the Popeye II air-to-ground missile in a deal initially worth about $100 million dollars. The new deal involved a consortium to be established between two Turkish firms and Rafael to jointly produce the Popeye II, a smaller missile with more advanced technology. The Popeye II, also known as the Have Lite, is designed for deployment on fighter aircraft and has a range of 150 kilometers. The Popeye II missiles were expected to be delivered beginning in 2000. The overall Popeye-I and Popeye-II missiles program with Turkey was valued at some $500 million." FAS |

Popeye II
The so called 'light' version, check out its size with a f-16 for comparison. A bit better range, more up to date technology, but smaller so these type of aircraft can launch them.

Leonidas,
This towed artilley (below) is also excellent.
Made in Turkey.
Their self-propelled artillery (Firtina 155) is also excellent.
PzH 2000 is better but Firtina 155 is among the best & it's made in Turkey.
