Hmm I would'nt know what's different but of what i've heard people say in America And the UK i'd say our soiceity is quite strict. I don't think about it much i just get up go to school show my pass and just go home. Martial arts is'nt very popular here. So far i've only found to schools but the one i enlisted in is perfect. I start with a bit of weight training and then move on to empty handed and weaponry techniques. It's hard work but really satasfing at the end i guess.

^Jagatai, actually if you write his name in any other language other than Kurdish or Arabic it's a mere translation, so I think that was accurate enough...

Azakuru it's very interesting and I may even add unusual to know someone of your background living in North Korea.

thanks

yeah that has to be the most quarantiened, censored, and mysterious country of them all.  All we get to see about it is the grossly ugly semi-sane dictator.

I thought there was little internet connections. So your government allows this kind of talking?

hmm I guess so. The only real restrictions are examplified in the rules the government lays out. Rules such as leaving certain areas without permission and showing any sign of disagrrement with the government at all. Your right the Majority of people don't have internet access because of their poor standard of life.

If I might ask are you and your family a guest in North Korea or are you there to stay since your grandfather was invited there as an engineer? Are you allowed to go back to Syria or the Middle East if you want to? I once saw a TV show about Russias old trains in Siberia and it had two North Korean nationals (I think they were oil workers of some type in Russia) and two South Korean tourists and they seem to be celebrating in the same table and having some vodka.

Yet I think he felt himself more like a Muslim rather than as a Kurd/Arab/Turk.

He was a Kurd speaking Turkish because he was in the Turkish army.

We still have kurdish origined generals in our army.

But truth is he fought for the people (not only the muslims, but also the Jews and Orhtodox Christians) who were under the attack of Crusaders, like his ally Seljuks.

Arabs have an interesting habit of claiming to be the supreme power of islam.

Your turn was over when the Samanids gained their independence. After that  Turks became muslum in 10th century and we all know about the Seljuk invasion on Iran and Arabia. All muslims were under our rule in the 11th century except umayyads of Andulucia and Fatimids in Egypt...

Still Turkey is among the most powerful nations in the Middle East and no Arab state can equal it

HulaguHan, there were also some quarrels between Kl Arslan II and Salha'd-dn Al-Ayyb.
