Archeologists have discovered a tomb that pre-dates the traditional date of the founding of Rome by at least 300 years. For a video of artifacts found go to the BBC homepage.
People have probably lived there for thousands of years before Romulus and Remus. But if it is an actual necropolis, then that would suggest there was a prior civilization or we are just wrong on our dates, right?
Yes according to the finds it seems to be a necropolis and much larger than what they already exscavated. The Remus and Romulus is just legend as most of Roman history before its sack by the Gauls around 390BC.
