It missed Parthian, Mittani and Medean.  Also Timurid and Safavid.

Yeah true. I noticed just now that the emphasis was on empires ruling Middle Eastern section of the mideterranean. It missed the emmpires formed east of the Tigris completely.

I've noticed that it started with the Egyptian Empire, yet there were even more ancient empires (like some said, the Mitannian) but it missed an earlier Hittite Empire, an earlier Babylonian Empire, the Amorite Empire of the Assyrians, the late Sumerian Empire of Ur, and last, but not least, the Akkadian Empire.

The chronology is bizarre (many empires coexisted and fought and changed their borders at each one's expense), the selection looks arbitary (probably fame), the maps seem inaccurrate, with all that the idea is interesting and with more work could have been a better overview.

The Roman Empire's borders were constantly changed due to battles with the Parthians and Sassanids.
