Again the saying "every country gets the leader it deserves" appears to be true.

Well, Kerry has accepted Bush's victory.

Very closed victory, but still a victory.

Wishing the best to USA on this new presidential period.

The lie that America is on the brink of decline, which is total conjecture and has no empirical support.

uh, Iraq?  Never have we invaded a country with no good reason at all, it shows how pathetic our intelligence system is, thats a sighn of decline, when foriegn creditors ask for their money back and we dont have any, thats a sign of decline...and most importantly as this has held true for most of history, when religious fanatics afraid of outside influence take spower...that is the biggest sign of decline.

However not all is lost, it could very well be only a temporary setback, once I take power the US will exceed far beyond anything any nation has achieved before....

Then why did we invade places like Cuba and such in 1898, our intelligence system was even worse before World War II, we have a relatively small debt in comparison to our GDP, and the Republican party is hardly as religious as people were up utntil the 50's.

Don't overreact, it makes you look uncredible, and that's probably part of the reason you lost the election.

Did it ever occur to anyone that perhaps the terrorists took the WoMD from Saddam, or he gave them to another country?

I hate it when people jump to conclusions. Just because I can't find my "o" key doesn't mean it didn't exist.

There were also other countries that have been invaded for questionable reasons, but the reason to invade Panama, because Noriega was a drugsdealer, was completely fake. The CIA knew for years he was one, even while he was on the payroll.

Good God!!! I'm terrified by the thought that the Americans are of the same mentality as the leader they have voted for (which apparently must be the truth!)

All their backwater, conservative, xenophobic, ultra religious feeling came to surface. It seems that terrifying people works, it worked for Hitler after all. All this for the sake of "security" - well screw security! other things (must) have priority over it!

Sorry if I'm offending any Americans in the forum but I can't help it. In the beginning I was angry, now I'm just sad and puzzled (not to mention abdicated).

That reminds me the case of Somoza. When a journalist stated to Pres. Rosevelt that Somoza was a " Son of a B... ", the President replied: Yes, but he is our Son of a B....

I am just too happy to see George W winning for the first time so that exists a possibility that he would be dumped disgracefully in the middle of the next term thanks to all the stupidities he has brilliantly caused so far.

The average Republican may not as religious as they used to be, but the average republican politician is far more extreme.  Consider the ironoies of this when you look at the terrorists we are fighting, and how similair we are to them.

That's totally out of line to compare elected American politicians to mass-murdering terrorists.
