I've heard a legion lost to the Parthians at Carrhae was later seen in China. Is this even remotely true?

The story is well known and some archaeologists claim to have found evidence of Romans in China.
After the Parthian defeat the Romans POWs were setttled in the Parthian Empire (standard for the time) on the eastern border of the empire. THey then provided a buffer for the empire against invaders.
About this time a Chinese expedition arrived in Parthia and people believe some of these Romans returned to China when the expedition left, perhaps even fighting a mercenaries.

A mathematician is a person who thinks that if there are supposed to be three people in a room, but five come out, then two more must enter the room in order for it to be empty.

This story initially come from some wild imagination of
some self-declare history researchers, and was quickly adoptted by some
stupid chinese historians and some local chinese officials from the
counties in GanShu province in where those captured Roman soldiers were
supposed to be settled embranced those nonsense, because, hi, it would
be good for tourism ! If you want to believe those fantansy, from the
same chinese source, JuliasCaesar actually faked his death in the Rome Senate, and retired to china, and even convert to budalism ! Not be outdone, some other chinese researchers claimed Jesus Christ was actually a chinese !

Aye there are no records confirming this theory and no serious historian would sign his name under it. Total BS. Erich von Daniken's theories are way better documented and explained than this idiotism.

This "lost legion" Legio 9 Hispana that was lost sometime between (108 or) 120/130 and 197, I am wondering if it may be related to "pope" Telesphorus (125-136) the "great martyr" who matches Hadrian (117-138) under whom "great numbers were killed by Jews" & "great numbers were killed by Britons"? (The "popes" list matches the emperors list.)

I'm getting very angry that we can no longer view forum pages offline (been so forlast year or so).
