Dear fellow historians,
I think I am in the very correct forum to ask for some information. It is regarding the Persian empire, just before the invasion of Alexander's army. I am interested into the specific data:
- A list of satrapies in the 340s, with the Satrap names (a map would be a genuinely spectacular present and highly appreciated by yours truly)
- If possible, a rather accurate and analytical map of the Persian empire in the 340s BC, with as much imformation as possible
- If feasible, can anyone point out to me what kind of cultures lived within the bounds of each satrapy? My knowledge is limited in the westernmost edge of the empire (the Aegean coast of Asia Minor) ie. Greeks, Karians, Lydians, Phrygians, Lykians etc.
- Other data available, especially demographics, on this timeframe, will be extremely highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.
