Does any one know when this sword would have been used???

 
British Royal Cavalry Sword with Tempered Blade & Steel Scabbard
 
 
Its the ninth one dow
 
What year would it have been used???????

I think it would be during the early 1800s. Just my opinion from reading about Napoleonic British cavalry swords.

Looks like a cross between a 1796 pattern heavy cavalry sabre and a 1775 infantry officer's sabre.
Light blue touch paper and stand well back

Paul- Does having a provenance [history, who owned etc.] effect the value? Or does condition still primarily rule?
