Sythian armies were small in size like 10,000men.

Seljuk turks had 20,000 men

The mongols invaded china with 150,000 men.

Are these numbers correct , and what numbers of men did the western steppe produce compared to the eastern steppe.

Army size is probably one of the most difficult things to accurately determine for a historian. I think all estimates of army size should be taken with a grain of salt.

I don't like Seljuks can be considered as steppe people.

Seljuks were originally Steppe people just like the Legendary Oghuz.

Just make sure you divide anything you find by 10 to get the accurate number.

Most of them are incredibly exaggerated.

I think that only applies if the number listed in 100,000 men.

I would say mostly around 10,000 men and sometime more. Those 100,000 men armies were notorious for eating themselves out of a successful conquest.

Well, most of the Hungarian historians try to calculate the population of the Hungarian tribal federation by using the 20 000 men data. It is estimated 100-120 000 people.

I think I know what you mean. However, prior to the Seljuks was Mahmud of Gazni and his forces. The Seljuks were the ones that rebelled and later expelled the Gaznavids.

It's generally accepted that the Mongols travelled in "Tumens" which equalled about one hundred thousand men. Depending on what task they were about to embark on, they may have approached with smaller forces, or much larger. They often split into "tumens" when travelling for logistical reasons, their combined armies of up to five hundred thousand being harder to feed and water.
