Topic: Favourite Bands etc... (General Music) Posted: 13-Jun-2006 at 14:20 |
Just wondering what bands everyone here is into really? (I thought it'd be quite interesting since we all come from differnent places on the globe)
Me, really kindof modern prog such as Radiohead/Muse, and good old indie stuff like Arctic Monkeys and Fallout Boy.
Also Jimi Hendrix is a bit (bit? more like a lot) of a legend it must be said.

From metalcore it is Himsa for me.
Lamb of God is numero uno for a couple of years now and with
their renewed "New American gospel" and also the new album coming out
this summer i won't be abandoning them any time soon.
Slayer too, also a new album coming out this year

Wow!Lots of old man music!
I think Frederick Roger, Byzantine Emperor, Richard XIII, and I could all space out around the stereo together. We could have Ulrich bring over some of his albums too!

Yes, indeed. I'm recirculating some of my sigs all over again. I think I'll get some newer ones in the mix too.

All good stuff. I've heard a few Mostly Autumn tracks on the internet but don't have any cd's from them yet.
Lately I've been rotating:
Barclay James Harvest - Time Honored Ghosts, Once Again
Moody Blues - New Sacd versions of the first five albums
Le Orme - Collage, Contrppunti, Uomo Di Pezza
Tull, Yes, Enid, Nektar, plus 70's era Eloy
Thin Lizzy, when I get the urge to rock - Live and Dangerous
Even some Flaming Lips and Gorillaz for the modern stuff.

Connoisseur. That's a good way of putting it. I didn't mention the other Italian symphonic progs I tend to listen to since they are not in my current rotation. Here is a list any way:
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso -
RDM, Metamorphosi, Museo Rosenbach, and a few others.
____
Red Clay, you got a little blues mixed into your list. Thats alright.
