What truth Bashibozuk?

They don't speak enough about the Kurds, because we have never taken hostages, never hijacked a plane. But I am proud of this.

I guess you don't like maps at all. Have a look at the first page again and provide me a counter proof to support your baseless hypotesis, if you can...

Basıbozuk, I hope you dont deliberately missinform people, because at that map, CHP is almost equal to DTP, plus Tunceli major is from dtp.(Map is wrong)
True, majority of kurds dont want independence, but DTP have a large support at south-east anatolia. Diyarbakir, siirt, van, agrı, mardin and hakkari. 3 million vote is not a small minority.
Also I should add, it is not nationalist turkey kurds supported, but infamous AKP, islamist party who have less nationalist. If army close to akp, all of kurds will turn to DTP again. So you are between akp and dtp, wanna choose?
A large minority of kurds dont like nationalist turkey(just guess why), but It looks like they prefer a turkey which respect kurdish right, instead of independence.
It should be hard for you to realize the truth from Sweden anyway,
you are from turkey, but you dont realize the truth also, or you are lying. Because shp=dtp(at kurdish land)

Neither me or the map lies, Murtaza. And the map is based on the local elections of 2004, you can find various copies of it if you just use this perfect link.
And one of the most accurate and widest websites about elections in Turkey with details by provinces:
but DTP have a large support at south-east anatolia |
So what? Turkish nationalist parties have a large support in Eastern regions too. For example Elazig, Erzurum, Igdir, Erzincan and Bingl are some of the main provinces for highest rates of votes to nationalist parties.
And DEHAP had %6,23 of total votes, all over Turkey, in the last general elections. Do you think it represents a majority or a minority?
you are from turkey, but you dont realize the truth also, |
At least I try to provide sources about the facts, why can't you people provide any proofs if you believe these maps and statistics are false? These aren't even my maps, these are based on elections, not based on anyone's political ideology.

Giving half information is not much different than lie, you are calling shp as central-left party, but at 2004 election CHP=DTP.
So what? Turkish nationalist parties have a large support in Eastern regions too. For example Elazig, Erzurum, Igdir, Erzincan and Bingl are some of the main provinces for highest rates of votes to nationalist parties.
Not all of Eastern cities are kurdish majority, Igdır and bingl are kurdish majority, and they support dtp much more than mhp.(At ıgdır akp divided dtp votes, so mhp gained. Also there are much turk at ıgdır.)
And DEHAP had %6,23 of total votes, all over Turkey, in the last general elections. Do you think it represents a majority or a minority?
Compare it with kurdish population that is 15-20% of Turkey, even it is still minority, It is not a small minority, also religious parties like Rp, and AKP divided their vote much, because religious parties are less nationalist. So infact Turkish nationalism was refused by Kurds.
At least I try to provide sources about the facts, why can't you people provide any proofs if you believe these maps and statistics are false? These aren't even my maps, these are based on elections, not based on anyone's political ideology.
True, but SHP=DTP, you should not hide this fact, or do you realy believe It is central-left who gain at diyarbakır?

Sorry, I couldn't get what you mean. But SHP is social democrat, and I guess that is included in the left rather than right ideology, am I wrong here?

we are talking about 2004 election, without joining dpt, shp cannot gain even 1% from kurds. (also not more than 2% from turks).

Some one please explain to me why the kurds want to be indipendant so badly? I read a little about it and think it is mostly because of the Sunni Shia seperation in Iran.
I also know the Kurds are Iranic and thier langwage is very similar to Farsi. I think the Kurds should embrace thier Iranic roots and forget about indipendence. Not wanting to offend you Cent or any other Kurd who reads this.

I am am Indian & dont have much knowledge about the Kurds, except that availaible on the web.
One interesting thing I have noticed. it seems names like barzaani are common amongst the Kurds. I mean names ending with the "aani" sound.
In India we have one Sindhi community, which almost entirely has surnames ending with this sound like barzani for eg. Advani, Narwani, Ramani, Bharwani, bhavnani etc.. the Sindhis are essentially business community, being one of the most influencial in India.
Can anybody throw more light on this.

I've recently returned from Turkey, more precisely the South East and East.
First of all you must get the ridiculous maps which some extreme Kurds draw, areas such as KahramanMaras, Sivas, Elazig, Malatya, Igdir, Erzerum, GaziAntep, Hatay, SanliUrfa, North Van, Erzincan have no place in such a map, for this to happen they would have to wipe out the majority of these regions as most are proud of being Turks and being part of Turkey. I asked many locals about these maps and if they support them, they suddenly looked angry at me as if they're gonna smack me in the mouth. Infact even though most the areas listed above have a Turkish majority, places like South Mardin, South Urfa, parts of Hatay and Bitlis have Arab majorities and a Suryani presence but most TUrks and Kurds call them Christian Arabs.
Then I visited Diyabakir Batman region. It has a Kurdish majority, most people I spoke with are just living life providing for their family and don't have time for Nationalist pollitics. Also in Hakkari they say its the poorest region but many people have Mercedes and BMW!
There are many factors, Batman is very religous and conservative, Diyarbakir is more Left, the Kurds tribal leaders and religous leaders have alot of power over Kurdish society. Some people I spoke to wanted Kurdish independance and were quite radical, then there were some who wanted Ummah, others want prosperous TUrkey so there kids would have a better life.

the kurds living in agri don't want a kurdistan they're well not happy with the turkish goverment but who is with his goverment no body there is allways something. they say( a few kurds I heard talking about this sunject) the other kurds from the south and irak and iran are different than us. We cant relate with them as we can with our selfs. Is a kurdistan possible what about language religion culture.

I'd thought you would just visit Istanbul. It looks like you had a precious trip. As mentioned, Kurdish nationalist movement doesnn't have so much fans. European media rears it as it did about Armenians and Greeks many year go.
