MONTENEGRO - THE NEWEST EUROPEAN COUNTRY?

I DON`T THINK SO.

IN MY OPINION THE RIGHT EXPRESSION IS:

MONTENEGRO - INDEPENDENT AGAIN...

It's a great move. As Komnenos pointed out, no non-ex-Yugoslav state will ever make it to the Eurovision final again. LOL

I think, that this is good for the fastest integration of Montenegro in the European Union, but in the same time - is not good for the serbian people as a whole, because:

in fact

the montenegrins are serbs

How do I perceive this? Well, the people of Montenegro have decided to have their own country and I respect that. I hope it's for the best for them and for the whole region.
Implications: they are a newly formed idependent country, not part of SCG anymore, and they have adjust to this. Have their own foreign policy, take important decisions for the future of their country and so on.
Is it a good move? Good for whom? For the people of Montenegro I guess it is a good move.  Who am I to say to the 56% who voted YES that they made a bad move, a wrong decision? For Serbia OTOH it was a bad move.
Is it good for the region? Hm, that's a tricky one. Look at a european map, focus on the Balkans and start counting countries. See what I mean? Balkanization at its best!

That`s right. Maybe for these minorities it will be better to be independent from Serbia.

Is interesting to me: how many they are? What`s(how big is) their number?

What is the difference between these "Slavic Muslims" and the bosnjaks who are living in Montenegro? Where in Montenegro are living these "Slavic Muslims"? Do you know? This is interesting to me...

There are many different groups within Slavic Muslims. The majority are Bosniaks, but there are also Montenegrin Muslims and Serbian Muslims. There are also Albanians in certain areas where they do not feel welcome who declare themselves to be Slavic Muslims.

In general, as far as I've read, most Muslims in the north declare themselves to be Bosniaks or Albanians. Most Muslims in isolated pockets in the mainly-Christian south (Stari Bar, etc.) declare themselves to be Slavic Muslims. It's just a way of stepping lightly, the same as Serbs in Sarajevo often use the term "Bosnians of Serb ethnic ancestry" to describe themselves, rather than saying Serbs outright. It's fear, misguided politeness, and many other emotions and circumstances.

Btw it's interesting, because almost 7/10 Sandzaklija I meet in Sarajevo has backgrounds from Montenegro, and this migration started early in the 20th century.

Congrats for independent Montenegro, and for All ethnicities living in Montenegro.
