I am interested how medieval development resounded in Scandinavian states. Composition of armies, important cities, trading, regions, rulling dinasties and affairs in neighbouring lands ->that is all I want to know.

First discussion should be about composition of armies. Which were most notable differences between Norway, Denmark, Sweden in this issue.
As I know Denmark was more "advanced" when speaking of knights, land owning nobility, which rode into battle with horse and fought on horseback, because of it's close ties and influence in military aspects from northern German duchies.

That is true. I don't have time now, but maybe I can write a little later. In short, the 12th and 13th centuries brought very large changes to Scandinavia, so it's quite a broad topic.

It is accepted that viking age ended in 11th century.  Did Scandinavian countries mainteined some military things from vikings in 13th century, like infantry fighting in shield wall or something similar?
